Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Bennett shoes last, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Initial Break-in: Wear your shoes for short intervals indoors for the first few days to allow the leather to mold to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Wipe away dust and debris after each wear using a soft cloth or a horsehair brush.
- Polishing: Apply a high-quality black shoe cream or wax periodically to keep the leather hydrated and maintain the signature polished shine.
- Storage: Always store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use shoe trees to maintain the structural integrity and absorb moisture after wear.
- Weather Protection: Avoid submerging in water. If they become wet, allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators to prevent the leather from cracking.
