Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Prepare your motherboard and CPU. Ensure the motherboard is out of the case for easier access.
- Install the appropriate mounting bracket onto the motherboard for your CPU socket (Intel or AMD).
- Apply thermal paste to the CPU surface (a small pea-sized amount in the center is usually sufficient, or follow the paste manufacturer's recommendation).
- Mount the water block onto the CPU, securing it with the provided screws or clips.
- Mount the radiator and fans to your PC case. Ensure correct airflow direction (fans pushing air into or out of the case through the radiator).
- Connect the fan and ARGB cables to the designated headers on your motherboard or controller. The Prime LC 360 ARGB utilizes a single two-header cable for simplification.
- Connect the pump power cable to the motherboard's CPU_FAN header.
Compatibility:
This cooler supports a wide range of modern CPU sockets, including:
- Intel: LGA1851, LGA1700, LGA1200, LGA1156, LGA1155, LGA1151
- AMD: Socket AM5, Socket AM4
Ensure your PC case has sufficient clearance for a 360mm radiator (typically 394 mm width, 123 mm height, and 25 mm fan thickness) and space for pump and tubing.
Care:
- Cleaning: Dust the radiator fins and fan blades regularly using compressed air or a soft brush to maintain optimal airflow and cooling efficiency. Wipe the water block exterior with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Performance Monitoring: Periodically check CPU temperatures using monitoring software to ensure the cooler is performing as expected. Ensure pump and fan connections remain secure.
