Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup: These safety trainers are designed for immediate use. Ensure the correct size is selected for optimal comfort and safety. To adjust the fit, pull the BOA® dial outwards, loosen the cable, push the dial back in, and then turn clockwise to tighten until a snug, comfortable fit is achieved. To release, pull the dial outwards again.
Compatibility: The Helly Hansen Chelsea Evolution BOA Safety Trainers meet the EN 20345 S1 safety standard. They are compatible with general workshop environments, light industrial settings, and indoor work where protection against impact, compression, and penetration by sharp objects is required. They are suitable for use in areas exposed to fuels and oils, and where slip resistance is important. They are not recommended for environments requiring S3 or higher protection standards (e.g., midsole penetration resistance, water resistance, or safety in wet conditions).
Care: To maintain the trainers' performance and longevity:
- Cleaning the Upper: Wipe the synthetic upper with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use mild soap and water, then rinse and allow to air dry away from direct heat.
- Cleaning the Lining: Remove insoles if possible and clean separately. The interior can be wiped with a damp cloth. Ensure thorough drying to prevent odor.
- Sole Maintenance: Clean the rubber sole with water and a brush to remove debris. Check for any embedded objects.
- BOA® System: Periodically check the dial and cable for any damage. Clean around the dial to prevent debris buildup. Avoid excessive force when adjusting.
- Drying: Always air dry the trainers. Do not use radiators, ovens, or direct sunlight, as this can damage materials and adhesives.
