FAQs

What does 'Eco' refer to in the product name?

'Eco' signifies that the containers are made from 100% food-grade salvaged waste plastic, highlighting LocknLock's commitment to sustainability.

Why are the colors of the containers different?

The color variation is due to the diverse salvaged plastics used in manufacturing. This process makes each container unique and contributes to its eco-friendly appeal.

Are these containers safe for baby food?

Yes, the LocknLock Eco containers are BPA-free and made from food-grade plastic, making them safe for storing baby food.

Can I stack these containers?

Yes, the rectangular 1.4L container is designed to be stackable with other LocknLock rectangular containers of similar size. The round 1L container can also be stacked with other LocknLock round containers.

What is the warranty on this product?

The LocknLock Eco 2 Piece Set comes with a Lifetime Warranty.

How do I clean the locking mechanism?

The locking tabs can be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge. Ensure they are dry before closing the lid to maintain the seal's effectiveness.

Can I use these containers for freezing liquids?

Yes, you can freeze liquids, but it's advisable to leave some headspace as liquids expand when frozen. Ensure the lid is securely locked.

Troubleshooting

Lid is difficult to seal

Ensure the rim of the container and the gasket on the lid are clean and free of debris. Align all four locking tabs carefully before pressing down. If the container is very cold, allow it to reach room temperature.

Container retains odors

Wash thoroughly with warm, soapy water. For stubborn odors, try soaking the container in a mixture of baking soda and water for a few hours, or rinsing with white vinegar.

Color variation is not as expected

Please note that each container is unique due to the recycled materials used. The color received may differ from the product image or other containers in the set. This is an inherent characteristic of the Eco range.

Container appears cloudy after microwaving

Ensure the lid is vented or slightly ajar when microwaving. Avoid overheating food. The slight cloudiness is usually cosmetic and does not affect the container's safety or functionality.

  • Cleaning: Hand washing with mild soap is recommended for longevity, though dishwasher use is safe.

Care Instructions:

  1. Wash before first use.
