This makes the cooler ideal for compact HTPCs and small form factor housings, which offer very little space for CPU coolers. 100% RAM compatibility The NH-L9i has a 95x95mm footprint that fits exactly into the keep-out zone of the Intel LGA115x socket. Thus, there is no problem with chip-set coolers and the cooler does not hang over the RAM slots, thus offers full compatibility to high RAM modules. 100% compatibility with PCIe cards on mini-ITX For most Intel LGA115x based mini-ITX motherboards, the PCIe slot sits directly next to the 95x95mm socket zone. While larger coolers usually block the PCIe slot, the 95x95mm large NH-L9i offers full compatibility with PCIe cards. NF-A9x14 PWM premium fan The highly optimized NF-A9x14 Premium fan supports PWM for fully automatic speed control and uses innovative aerodynamic design measures as well as Noctuas AAO frame system. Thus the NH-L9i remains remarkably quiet. Low-noise adapter With the (L.N.A.) the speed of the NF-A9x14 fan can be reduced from 2500 to 1800rpm. Thus, almost silent systems can be implemented with CPUs under 65W TDP. Custom-made SecuFirm2™ mounting system The NH-L9i is delivered with a customized SecuFirm2™ mounting system for LGA115x without backplate, which guarantees better compatibility with mini-ITX mainboards as well as an even easier installation.
