Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Veronica Spicata settles in well, choose a site with fertile, well-drained soil. When planting your 9cm pot, dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and ensure the top of the root system is level with the soil surface. Space plants approximately 30 to 45 centimeters apart to allow for proper airflow. During the first growing season, keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Once established, these plants are relatively drought-tolerant. In early spring, apply a balanced granular fertilizer to encourage vigorous growth, and deadhead spent flower spikes to potentially encourage a second flush of blooms later in the season.
