Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation requires a torque wrench to ensure the stainless steel hardware is tightened to the manufacturer's specified values. Because of the no-gap faceplate design, ensure the top two bolts are tightened first until the faceplate makes full contact with the stem body, then follow with the bottom two bolts.
Compatibility:
- Ensure your steer tube diameter matches the stem's specifications.
- Verify your handlebar diameter (35mm) is compatible with this model.
- Use a light coating of assembly paste if you are clamping carbon handlebars to prevent slippage.
Care:
- Periodically wipe down with a damp cloth.
- Check bolt tension after the first few rides and before major trips.
- Inspect the beveled edges for any signs of debris build-up after muddy rides.
