Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure success, plant your crowns immediately upon arrival in a site with rich, well-drained soil. If you cannot plant immediately, store the crowns in a cool, dark, and well-ventilated area to maintain dormancy. When planting, position the crown so the top of the root is just below the soil surface. Keep the area weed-free and apply a layer of mulch in the autumn to provide winter protection and nutrients. Always ensure the leaves are removed and composted separately from edible garden waste, as they are toxic.
