This LEE Filters 100mm System Wide Angle Adaptor Ring features a 49mm thread size, designed for lenses 35mm or wider to reduce vignetting. The adapter rings screw onto your lens to accommodate the filter holder or lens shade. Once the ring is in place, the holder clips into place using a smooth, quick-release spring-loaded mechanism. Wide-angle adapter rings are designed to place the filter as close as possible to the front element of the camera lens, and should be used when vignetting is encountered with a standard adapter ring. Sturdily constructed with an aluminum screw thread, this is a wide-angle adapter ring for lenses with a 49mm filter thread. It fits the Lee 100mm filter holders and places the filter holder somewhat closer to the lens than the standard adapter ring, which is necessary for certain wide-angle lenses to avoid vignetting.
