FAQs

What is the 'slub' pattern mentioned?

The 'slub' refers to a yarn where thicker or uneven sections are intentionally created during spinning. This results in a decorative, textured pattern on the fabric, giving it a unique and comfortable appearance.

Are the colors true to the images shown?

Due to the handwoven nature and the use of special yarns, each throw has unique variations in color shades and patterns. While the images represent the general color, slight differences are expected and are part of the product's handmade charm.

Can I use this throw in a washing machine?

Yes, it is recommended to machine wash the throw in cold water on a gentle cycle with similar colors. Avoid using bleach.

What are the dimensions of the largest size?

The largest size is approximately 100 x 140 inches (255 x 360 cm).

How do I care for the handknotted tassels?

The tassels can be gently combed or untangled with your fingers. If they need washing, handle them with care and air dry to maintain their shape.

Is this throw suitable for outdoor use?

While the 100% cotton is breathable, this throw is best suited for indoor use to preserve its color and texture. Prolonged exposure to sunlight and moisture can damage the fibers.

Can I mix and match different colors and sizes?

Yes, Homescapes suggests mixing and matching different colors and sizes of the Nirvana throws to create a more personalized and varied look in your home.

Troubleshooting

Slight color variation from expected shade

This is a characteristic of the handwoven process. Embrace the unique variations as part of the product's charm.

Yarn snagging

Gently snip any snagged threads with scissors. Avoid pulling to prevent further damage to the weave.

Throw feels stiff after washing

Tumble dry on low heat with a dryer ball or a clean tennis ball to help soften the fibers.

Tassels becoming tangled

Gently untangle the tassels with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb. Handwash separately if needed and air dry.
