Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your shoes last, follow these care and setup guidelines:
- Breaking-in: If the leather feels rigid, wear them for short durations indoors with thick socks until the material softens.
- Cleaning: Wipe away loose dirt with a soft brush. For stains, use a leather cleaner specifically formulated for oil-tanned leathers.
- Protection: Apply a leather protector spray to guard against water and salt stains.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources to prevent the leather from drying out or cracking.
- Lace Care: Inspect rawhide laces occasionally; if they become brittle, treat them with a leather conditioner to maintain flexibility.
