FAQs

What is the lead time for a custom-made Sofia Gold Bed Frame?

As each bed is custom-made to order, please refer to the estimated delivery times provided at the time of purchase. This typically allows for manufacturing and quality checks before dispatch.

Can I use my existing mattress with this bed frame?

Yes, provided your mattress is of the correct size (e.g., Double, King) and in good condition. The frame is designed to support standard mattresses.

What types of fabric are available?

The Sofia Gold Bed Frame is available in Sloomy’s fabric ranges: Plush Velvet, Naples, Coniston, and Dumfries, offering a diverse palette of colours.

Does the bed frame require a box spring?

The Sofia Gold Bed Frame typically comes with a slat system designed to support a mattress directly. Please check the specific product details for confirmation on whether a box spring is required or recommended.

How do I clean the upholstered fabric?

For specific cleaning, consult the care guide for your chosen fabric. Generally, regular vacuuming is recommended. Spot clean minor spills with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent, testing in an inconspicuous area first.

What sizes are available?

The bed is available in 2FT6 Small Single, 3FT Single, 4FT Small Double, 4FT6 Double, 5FT King Size, and 6FT Super King sizes.

Is assembly included?

Assembly is typically the responsibility of the customer, though instructions are provided for straightforward setup. We recommend two people for assembly.

Troubleshooting

Bed frame feels unstable or noisy.

Ensure all bolts and screws are fully tightened. Check that the central support leg (if applicable) is properly adjusted and making contact with the floor. Verify the mattress is correctly seated and not causing uneven pressure.

Parts appear to be missing or damaged upon arrival.

Contact Sloomy customer support immediately with your order details and a description or photos of the missing/damaged parts. They will arrange for replacements.

Difficulty aligning pre-drilled holes during assembly.

Loosely fasten all screws and bolts first, then align the remaining components. Once everything is in place, gradually tighten all fastenings. Do not overtighten screws.

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions

Setup: The Sofia Gold Bed Frame is designed for practical, straightforward assembly. While specific instructions are provided with the product, generally, this involves connecting the frame components, attaching the headboard and footboard, and installing the support system for your mattress. It is recommended to have a second person assist with assembly, particularly for larger sizes.

Compatibility: This bed frame is compatible with standard mattress sizes corresponding to the frame dimensions (e.g., a Double frame fits a Double mattress). Ensure your mattress thickness is suitable for the frame's design to maintain a balanced look and proper support. No specific box spring is mentioned; typically, upholstered frames utilize a slat system or a solid base to support a mattress directly.

Care: To maintain the appearance of your Sofia Gold Bed Frame, refer to the specific care instructions for the chosen fabric range. Generally, vacuuming regularly with an upholstery attachment can remove dust and debris. For spills, spot clean gently with a recommended upholstery cleaner, testing on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive moisture, which could damage the fabric or padding.
