Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Installation of the Mini Globe Wall Light should be performed by a qualified electrician, particularly given its suitability for wet environments. Ensure the power is switched off at the mains before commencing any work. Follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully for mounting the backplate and fitting the glass globe securely.
Compatibility:
- Bulb Type: Compatible with an E27 screw bulb. The maximum wattage will be specified on the product's rating label (typically around 60W, but check your specific model).
- Dimmer Switches: If used with a compatible dimmable bulb and dimmer switch, the light output can be adjusted.
- IP Rating: For bathroom and outdoor installations, ensure the correct IP (Ingress Protection) rating is met as per local building codes and electrical regulations.
Care:
- Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Gently wipe the glass globe and metal fixtures with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, which can damage the finish or glass.
- Bulb Replacement: Allow the bulb to cool completely before unscrewing it. Screw in the new bulb firmly but do not overtighten.
- Maintenance: Periodically check that the glass globe is securely fitted and that all connections are sound, especially if installed outdoors.
