The Johnstone's Ballet Slipper Matt Emulsion Tester Pot is designed for homeowners and DIY enthusiasts who want to visualize their color choice before committing to a larger purchase. This 75ml tester allows you to evaluate how the soft pink hue interacts with your specific room lighting and existing decor, providing a low-risk way to ensure the perfect finish. While it is excellent for small-scale testing and covering minor surface imperfections, it is important to note that the small volume is strictly for spot-testing and not intended for full-wall coverage.

Yes, while designed for wall testing, the matte emulsion formula works well on a variety of interior surfaces for small decorative projects.
The paint is quick-drying, generally touch-dry within a few hours, though drying times can vary based on humidity and temperature.
Yes, Johnstone's Matt Emulsion is specifically formulated for both walls and ceilings.
On most standard wall surfaces, a primer is not strictly necessary for a tester patch, but ensure the wall is clean and dust-free.
The Ballet Slipper name and brand consistency ensure that the full-size product will match the tone of the tester pot.
Colors appear different based on lighting. View the patch during both daylight and evening artificial lighting before making your final decision.
Ensure the surface is properly cleaned of dust or debris. If the substrate is highly absorbent or dark, a second coat is usually necessary for true color depth.
Before applying, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust or grease. Shake the pot thoroughly before opening to ensure the pigment is evenly distributed. For best results, use a high-quality synthetic brush. If you are testing over a dark existing color, you may need two coats to see the true 'Ballet Slipper' shade. Store the tester pot in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly sealed to prevent the paint from drying out if you wish to revisit the shade later. Avoid extreme temperatures during storage to maintain the chemical integrity of the emulsion.
