No, the suede upper is not waterproof or water-resistant. It is recommended to apply a suede-specific protective spray to repel light moisture.
While they feature advanced cushioning technology, these are classified as lifestyle trainers. They are not optimized for the repetitive impact of long-distance running.
The GEL-NYC 2.0 follows standard Asics sizing; refer to your previous Asics footwear for the most accurate fit in your UK size.
While the specific variant provided is designated for males, other variants in the GEL-NYC 2.0 series are available in unisex configurations.
It is best practice to lightly brush your trainers after each wear to prevent dust from settling deep into the suede nap.
Use a soft suede brush and gently work in the direction of the nap to lift dirt without damaging the material.
Clean the non-suede parts of the sole with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth; keep soap away from the suede panels.
Ensure the laces are not over-tightened, allowing for natural foot swelling throughout the day, or check that you are wearing appropriate socks for your foot shape.
Since these are casual trainers, no complex setup is required. Ensure you select the correct UK sizing, as the fit is designed for standard adult foot profiles. To maintain the condition of the suede uppers, avoid wearing them in wet, muddy, or rainy conditions. If the shoes get dirty, use a soft-bristled brush specifically designed for suede to gently remove surface dust. For deeper cleaning, utilize a specialized suede cleaner and avoid submerging the shoes in water, as this can damage the material texture and the adhesive bonds.
