Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Initial Wear: Simply put on the shoes and adjust the laces for a snug, comfortable fit. Ensure you are wearing appropriate socks for hygiene and comfort.
- Lacing Adjustment: Experiment with different lacing techniques to find the fit that best supports your foot and comfort level.
- Break-in Period: While generally comfortable from the start, a short break-in period of a few wears may help the shoes conform better to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These shoes are designed for general casual wear and light athletic activities. They are highly compatible with:
- Casual Attire: Jeans, shorts, skirts, leggings.
- Athleisure Wear: Track pants, hoodies, t-shirts.
They are not recommended for specialized sports that require specific foot support, rigid ankle stability, or aggressive traction (e.g., basketball, trail running, heavy weightlifting).
Care
Maintaining your Puma Wired Run Pure shoes will extend their lifespan and keep them looking their best:
- Cleaning: For general cleaning, wipe the upper with a damp cloth and mild soap. For tougher dirt, use a soft brush (like a toothbrush) with a small amount of soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Sole Cleaning: Use a brush to remove dirt and debris from the outsole. A damp cloth can be used for the midsole.
- Drying: Air dry shoes away from direct heat sources (like radiators or direct sunlight). Do not tumble dry, as high heat can damage materials and adhesives.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, remove insoles (if removable) and air them out. You can also use shoe deodorizers or natural remedies like baking soda.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place when not in use. Stuffing them with paper or using shoe trees can help maintain their shape.
