Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
When you first receive your Nike Revolution 7 shoes, take a moment to ensure a proper fit.
- Lacing: Experiment with different lacing techniques to find what feels most comfortable and secure for your foot. A standard criss-cross lacing is a good starting point. Ensure even pressure across the top of your foot.
- Break-In Period: While often comfortable right out of the box, allow a short break-in period (a few short runs or walks) for the shoe to fully conform to your foot's shape.
Compatibility
The Nike Revolution 7 is designed to be highly compatible with a wide range of users and activities:
- Foot Type: It generally suits neutral pronators and those with mild overpronation, offering balanced cushioning without excessive motion control.
- Running Surfaces: Best suited for road running, track, and light, even trails. The grip is optimized for paved and relatively smooth surfaces.
- Activity Level: Excellent for beginners, recreational runners, and anyone seeking comfortable footwear for daily activity.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your shoes:
- Remove loose dirt with a soft brush (an old toothbrush works well).
- Mix a small amount of mild soap (like dish soap) with warm water.
- Dip a soft cloth or sponge into the soapy water and gently wipe down the upper, midsole, and outsole.
- Wipe away any soap residue with a clean, damp cloth.
- Do NOT machine wash or machine dry your shoes, as this can damage materials and adhesives.
- Drying: After cleaning or getting wet, stuff the shoes with newspaper or paper towels to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape. Air dry them at room temperature, away from direct heat or sunlight.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing them in plastic bags, as this can trap moisture and odors.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, remove the insoles and air them out. You can also use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside the shoes overnight.
Important: Always allow your shoes to fully dry between uses to prevent odor and material breakdown. Consider rotating them with another pair if you run frequently.
