The Garmin Index S2 Smart Scale is designed for health-conscious individuals and athletes who want a comprehensive, data-driven approach to tracking their physical metrics. It provides essential insights, including weight trends, body fat percentage, and skeletal muscle mass, all of which sync effortlessly to the Garmin Connect ecosystem. While it offers a holistic view of body composition, it requires a stable Wi-Fi connection for optimal performance and automatic data syncing.

The scale supports up to 16 unique user profiles, allowing for extensive tracking for families or shared living spaces.
No. Once set up with Wi-Fi, the scale syncs data automatically to your Garmin Connect account without needing your phone present.
Garmin recommends that individuals with pacemakers or other internal electronic devices do not use the scale, as the bioelectrical impedance technology sends a small electrical signal through the body.
You can change the units of measurement through the device settings within the Garmin Connect app.
The Index S2 uses standard AAA batteries, which are easily replaceable.
Check your Wi-Fi signal strength and verify that your router is connected to the internet. Restart the scale by removing and reinserting the batteries.
Ensure the scale is on a hard, level surface. Recalibrate by stepping on the scale and then stepping off to allow it to zero out before taking your measurement.
Verify that the user profile has been correctly assigned in the Garmin Connect app and that the user's weight range is distinct enough for the scale to differentiate between profiles.
To set up your Index S2, download the Garmin Connect app on your smartphone and ensure your Wi-Fi network is active. Follow the in-app prompts to pair the scale via Bluetooth before configuring the Wi-Fi settings for automatic uploads. The device is compatible with most standard Wi-Fi bands. For maintenance, keep the scale in a dry, room-temperature environment. Clean the glass surface with a soft, damp cloth and avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or submerging the unit in water. Ensure the scale is placed on a hard, flat, level surface for the most accurate readings; using it on plush carpets or uneven flooring will compromise precision.
