FAQs
How do I reset the combination?
To reset, open the lock (usually with 0-0-0). Locate the reset pin/button, press it down (you may need a pen), dial your new desired combination, then release the pin/button. Test the new code.
Is this lock suitable for checked baggage?
Yes, it is TSA approved, meaning airport security can inspect your luggage without damaging the lock.
What materials is the lock made of?
The lock body is made of durable zinc alloy, and the shackle is made of hardened steel to resist tampering.
Can I use this lock outdoors for sheds?
While it's durable for general use, it's primarily designed for travel and personal item security. For long-term outdoor exposure or high-security needs, a dedicated outdoor or high-security padlock might be more appropriate.
What are the dimensions of the lock?
The lock measures approximately 1.8 cm x 3.5 cm x 6.5 cm.
How many locks are included?
This product is supplied as a single (1pc) yellow lock.
What if I forget my combination?
Unfortunately, if the combination is forgotten and not reset, there is no key to override it. You would likely need to cut the lock to access your belongings.
Troubleshooting
Lock won't open with the correct combination
Ensure you are rotating the dials fully to the correct numbers and that they are firmly in place. Try gently wiggling the shackle while dialing. If the combination was recently changed, double-check the reset steps.
Dials are stiff or difficult to turn
This can happen with use or exposure to elements. Try cleaning the dials and applying a small amount of graphite powder lubricant. Avoid excessive force.
Reset mechanism is stuck
Ensure the lock is fully open before attempting to reset. If it remains stuck, avoid forcing it. Contact customer support if applicable.
Shackle won't close or lock
Check for any debris obstructing the mechanism. Ensure the dials are aligned correctly with the open position before attempting to close the shackle fully.
