Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Preparation: Before first use, sterilize the Lily Cup A by boiling it in water for 5-7 minutes. Ensure you have clean hands.
- Folding: There are several folding methods. A popular one is the C-fold: flatten the opening with the tall rim facing away, then roll upwards. This makes the cup smaller for insertion.
- Insertion: Relax. Insert the folded cup angled towards your tailbone until the entire cup, including the removal stem, is inside your vagina. The tall rim should face towards your back.
- Placement Check: Run a finger around the base of the cup to ensure it has fully opened and formed a seal with your vaginal walls.
- Removal: Gently push down the cup to break the seal, grip the stem, and slowly pull downwards. Once you can feel the base, squeeze it to release the seal.
- Cleaning: Empty the cup, rinse it with water, and wash it with a mild, unscented soap. Sterilize before and after each period.
Compatibility:
The Lily Cup A is compatible with most individuals, but it's crucial to select the correct size. If you've given birth vaginally or have a heavier flow, Cup B is recommended. Consult with a healthcare professional if you have any questions or concerns about compatibility.
Care:
- Always clean the cup before and after each use, as well as at the beginning and end of each cycle.
- Store the cup in the provided pouch when not in use.
- Replace the cup as recommended (typically every few years), or if you notice any damage.
