The OM SYSTEM PRF-D46 PRO Protection Filter is an essential accessory for photographers using the Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12mm 1:2.0 or 60mm F2.8 Macro lenses who want to shield their front glass from dust, moisture, and potential impacts. While it offers superior clarity through its multi-coated, black-rimmed glass, it is a specialized accessory specifically sized for 46mm filter threads and will not fit lenses with different diameters.

No, this filter is specifically designed for lenses with a 46mm thread diameter, such as the 12mm 1:2.0 and 60mm F2.8 Macro.
No, the PRF-D46 PRO is a neutral protection filter designed to be optically clear and transparent.
Yes, the filter is designed to allow standard 46mm lens caps to attach to its front threads.
While intended for protection, there is no harm in leaving it on at all times, including indoors, as it does not affect light transmission significantly.
No, the filter adds negligible weight and does not interfere with the internal focusing mechanisms of the compatible lenses.
Use a dedicated rubberized filter wrench to apply even pressure, or place a thick rubber band around the rim to gain better grip.
Clean both sides of the filter with a microfiber cloth; smudges on the rear side facing the lens can often cause light refraction issues.
To install, gently screw the filter onto the front threads of your lens in a clockwise motion until secure; do not over-tighten, as it can be difficult to remove later. This filter is compatible with lenses featuring a 46mm filter thread, specifically the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12mm 1:2.0 and the 60mm F2.8 Macro. To clean, always use a dedicated lens blower first to remove loose grit, then gently wipe the surface with a clean microfiber cloth using a circular motion. If stubborn spots remain, use a small amount of dedicated lens cleaning fluid on the cloth rather than applying it directly to the filter.
