Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup
Your Meriden Tub Chair arrives partially assembled. The main setup involves attaching the legs. Follow these steps:
- Carefully unbox all components. Ensure you have the chair body and the two sets of wooden legs (light and dark). Choose your preferred leg color.
- Gently place the chair body upside down on a clean, soft surface to protect the upholstery.
- Locate the pre-drilled holes and mounting plates on the underside of the chair.
- Align the chosen wooden legs with the mounting plates. Each leg typically has a bolt that screws into the plate.
- Hand-tighten each leg until secure. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the frame.
- Once all legs are attached, carefully turn the chair upright.
- Test the stability by gently rocking the chair before full use. If any wobbling occurs, re-tighten the legs.
Compatibility
This tub chair is highly versatile and compatible with various room settings:
- Living Rooms: Adds an extra seating option and a splash of color.
- Bedrooms: Creates a cozy reading nook or a spot for getting ready.
- Home Offices: Offers an alternative seating option for breaks or focused tasks.
- Hallways/Entryways: Provides a convenient spot for putting on shoes.
Its compact footprint makes it suitable for both spacious and more confined areas.
Care
Maintaining your Meriden Tub Chair is straightforward thanks to its durable faux leather upholstery:
- Regular Cleaning: For general dust and light dirt, wipe the entire surface with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth weekly.
- Spills: Immediately blot spills with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub, as this can spread the stain. For tougher spots, use a mild soap solution (a few drops of dish soap in water) on a clean cloth, then wipe with a damp cloth to remove soap residue, and finally dry thoroughly.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh detergents, as these can damage the faux leather.
- Sunlight Exposure: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the faux leather to fade or dry out. Position the chair away from direct sunlight or use curtains/blinds.
- Leg Maintenance: Periodically check that the leg screws are tight to prevent wobbling. Re-tighten as needed.
