FAQs

Is the faux fur on the hood removable?

No, the faux fur trim is fixed to the hood to provide consistent wind and face protection.

Can this be used for winter hiking?

Yes, the combination of waterproof technology and fleece lining makes it suitable for cold and wet hiking conditions.

How should I clean the borg fleece?

Wash the robe inside out on a cool, gentle cycle to maintain the softness of the fleece lining.

Is the robe suitable for all-day wear?

While durable, it is designed primarily for protection during transitions or outdoor activities rather than as a permanent indoor garment.

Does it have a heavy weight?

It is heavier than a standard windbreaker due to the thick fleece lining and durable waterproof layers, but it remains comfortable for junior users.

Troubleshooting

Water appears to be soaking into the outer fabric

The DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating may have worn off. Re-apply a waterproofing spray designed for technical garments.

Interior fleece feels damp

Ensure the robe is properly air-dried in a ventilated space after use. Do not store the robe inside a bag while wet.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Superior waterproof rating (ISOTEX 20000)
Extremely warm borg fleece lining
Breathable fabric prevents overheating during play
Durable construction with fully taped seams
Eco-conscious design using recycled materials

Cons

Bulkier than standard outer layers
Requires more space for storage
Not intended for extreme high-intensity exercise in warm weather

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To maintain the integrity of the ISOTEX waterproof membrane, please follow these care instructions: machine wash the garment on a gentle cycle using a technical fabric cleaner, avoiding harsh detergents or fabric softeners that can strip the water-repellent finish. Always air dry the robe in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources like radiators. The robe is designed as an outer layer and is compatible with base layers or standard swimwear underneath. Ensure all zippers are fully closed during wash cycles to protect the fabric and zipper teeth.
