Designed for those who spend significant time on their feet, the boot offers excellent durability through its robust construction and plush interior lining. The boot is made of high-quality leather which provides natural resistance to light moisture, but it is not marketed as a fully waterproof boot.
Yes, the Ruby 54 features a removable insole specifically designed to allow for the use of personal orthotic inserts.
Use the laces to set your desired tension for a secure fit, then use the side zipper for subsequent easy entry and exit.
The Josef Seibel Ruby 54 has a 40mm heel, providing a moderate lift suitable for everyday support.
The Ruby 54 is built on a standard fitting last. If you have wider feet, it may feel snug compared to specifically designated wide-fit footwear.
Apply a small amount of clear beeswax or a graphite pencil tip to the zipper teeth to improve glide.
Replace the existing removable insole with a high-quality supportive insert to restore volume and fit.
Clean the leather thoroughly and apply a high-quality leather conditioner followed by a light coat of matching shoe cream.
To ensure the longevity of your Ruby 54 boots, proper maintenance is key. Before the first wear, apply a leather protector spray to guard against moisture and dirt. If the boots become wet, air dry them naturally away from direct heat sources to prevent the leather from cracking. The removable insole can be washed by hand with mild soap and air-dried if needed. For the exterior, wipe away dust with a damp cloth and use a matching cream polish to restore the luster of the leather periodically.
