Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Determine the ideal height for the door stop to engage effectively when the door is in the desired open position.
- Position the door stop against the bottom of the door.
- Mark the screw hole locations on the floor.
- Drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
- Secure the door stop to the floor using the provided screws.
Compatibility:
This door stop is designed for doors that open to at least a 90-degree angle and have a sufficient gap between the bottom of the door and the floor (typically requiring a few millimeters for proper engagement). It is best suited for hard flooring surfaces like wood, tile, or concrete. Performance may be reduced on thick carpets or highly uneven surfaces.
Care:
To maintain the door stop's functionality, periodically wipe it clean with a damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Ensure the moving parts operate smoothly. Avoid using abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish or the rubber bumper.
