Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
This built-in electric oven requires professional installation into a standard oven housing unit. Ensure your kitchen has the appropriate electrical connection (typically a dedicated circuit for ovens) and correct cutout dimensions for a seamless fit. Consult the installation manual provided with your oven for precise measurements and wiring diagrams.
Compatibility
The Samsung Electric Oven is designed to fit standard single oven cavity dimensions. Always verify the precise dimensions in the product manual against your kitchen cabinetry before installation.
Care & Maintenance
Maintaining your oven ensures longevity and optimal performance:
- Catalytic Cleaning: The special liners inside the oven automatically absorb and break down grease splashes when the oven operates at high temperatures. For best results, regularly run the oven after cooking, or initiate a specific catalytic cleaning cycle if available, as per your manual. This helps keep the liners active and effective.
- Manual Cleaning: For heavily soiled areas or large spills that the catalytic liners can't handle, wait for the oven to cool completely. Use a damp cloth and mild detergent to wipe down surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, especially on the catalytic liners, as these can damage the specialized coating.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the silver exterior with a soft, damp cloth and a mild non-abrasive cleaner. Dry thoroughly to prevent water marks.
- Door Glass: Clean the triple-glazed door glass with a glass cleaner suitable for oven doors. Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the door vents.
- Safety Features: The Child Lock can be activated (refer to manual for specific key combinations) to prevent accidental use. The Auto Shut-Off feature requires no special care, but be aware of its presence for safety.
