Setup
- Unpack the Cartridge: Carefully remove the HP 305 Colour Ink Cartridge from its packaging. Avoid touching the copper-colored electrical contacts or ink nozzles.
- Remove Protective Tape: Locate and gently pull the orange protective pull-tab or tape from the cartridge. Do not remove any other tape or sticker.
- Open Printer Access Door: Turn on your HP printer and open the ink cartridge access door. The print carriage will typically move to the center.
- Remove Old Cartridge (if applicable): If replacing an existing cartridge, gently press down on the old cartridge to release it, then pull it out of its slot.
- Insert New Cartridge: Slide the new HP 305 Colour Ink Cartridge into the correct color-coded slot (usually marked with a color icon). Push it firmly until it clicks into place.
- Close Access Door: Close the ink cartridge access door. Your printer may perform an alignment page or display an on-screen confirmation.
