Setup, Compatibility & Care
These towels require no complex setup; simply remove from packaging. Their design and material are compatible with most standard washing machines and dryers.
Initial Use
- Wash before use: It is recommended to wash the towels before their first use. This helps to remove any manufacturing residues and to enhance their natural absorbency.
Washing Instructions
- Wash dark colours separately: To prevent colour bleeding onto lighter fabrics, always wash these grey towels with similar dark colours.
- Avoid excessive fabric conditioner: While fabric conditioners can make towels feel softer initially, using too much can leave a residue that reduces the towel's absorbency over time. Use sparingly or opt for white vinegar in the rinse cycle as a natural softener.
- Machine wash: Wash on a gentle cycle with cold or warm water.
- Tumble dry low: For best results, tumble dry on a low heat setting to maintain softness and prolong towel life. Avoid high heat, which can damage cotton fibres.
- Do not bleach: Bleach can weaken cotton fibres and fade the towel's colour and print.
- Ironing (optional): If desired, iron on a medium setting. However, ironing is generally not necessary for towels.
Long-Term Care
- Shake out before drying: Shake your towels gently before putting them in the dryer to fluff up the loops and reduce drying time.
- Store in a dry place: Ensure towels are completely dry before folding and storing to prevent mildew growth and maintain freshness.
