The Pao Portable Lamp, designed by Naoto Fukasawa, is inspired by the soft, glowing shape of traditional Mongolian Pao tents. This versatile lamp is perfect for both outdoor and indoor use, seamlessly blending into its surroundings with its modest yet beautiful aesthetics. The concealed light source, hidden behind an opal polycarbonate diffuser, emits an efficient, diffused downlight with a warm, inviting glow. Its compact, battery-operated design allows for easy portability around the house, to the garden, or any outdoor space. The lamp is available in various colors that complement each other. Designed by Pierre Charpin, it features a 3-hour charging time via USB-C and offers 10 hours of operational time. The lamp has a 3W output and includes a touch step dimmer with a 100cm cord length, emitting a 2900K warm white light. Part of the Pao lamp collection by Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa for HAY, it embodies his aesthetic of beautiful simplicity, drawing design values from nature. The base and lampshade are crafted from durable polycarbonate with a smooth, high-gloss finish. A switch located in the base allows for adjusting brightness levels. Naoto Fukasawa founded his own company, Naoto Fukasawa Design, in 2003, known for designs that capture the true essence of an object.
