The Crew 2 Jacket is a warm midlayer. For extreme cold, layering it with an insulated jacket or a base layer appropriate for the conditions is recommended.
Yes, the jacket features a hidden zip inside that allows for easy embroidery, making it ideal for team customization.
Machine wash on a gentle cycle at 40°C (104°F) with similar colors. Avoid bleach and high heat for drying or ironing. Do not dry clean.
The Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment helps water bead up and roll off the fabric's surface, enhancing its water-resistance. This treatment may need reapplication over time.
The Crew Midlayer typically refers to a fleece-lined jacket for warmth, while the Crew Sailing Jacket can encompass a range of styles, including waterproof shells. The Crew 2 Jacket combines these features with HELLY TECH® protection and fleece lining.
A 2-layer construction means the waterproof/breathable membrane is bonded to the outer fabric, and a separate inner lining (in this case, fleece) provides comfort and insulation. This construction is durable and breathable.
The cuffs typically have Velcro closures, and the hem usually has an internal drawcord. Adjust these to achieve a snug fit and prevent wind or water from entering.
Ensure the seams are fully sealed. If the issue persists after care, contact customer support as this may indicate a manufacturing defect.
Reapply a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment. Follow the product instructions for the DWR spray or wash-in treatment.
Clean the zipper teeth with a soft brush and apply a silicone-based lubricant or wax stick. Gently work the zipper up and down.
This is a natural process for fleece. Gentle washing and avoiding high heat in the dryer can minimize this. Do not attempt to remove pills forcefully.
Setup: This jacket requires no setup; it is ready to wear upon purchase.
Compatibility: The Helly Hansen Crew 2 Jacket is designed as a standalone piece or as a midlayer in a layering system. Its design is compatible with other outdoor apparel.
