Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Time Setting: Pull out the crown (the small knob on the side) to the first or second click, depending on the model (refer to specific movement instructions if available). Turn the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands. Push the crown back in to start the watch.
- Strap Adjustment: If the stainless steel strap is too loose or tight, it may require professional adjustment by removing or adding links. This is typically done by a jeweler or watch repair specialist.
Compatibility
The Fossil Neutra FS5384 is a standalone timepiece and does not require compatibility with other devices. It's designed to be worn on the wrist.
Care
- Cleaning: To keep your watch looking its best, wipe the case and strap regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For the stainless steel, a mild soap solution can be used, ensuring to rinse thoroughly and dry immediately.
- Water Exposure: While water resistant to 50m, always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water. Avoid exposing the watch to hot water (like in showers or saunas) or harsh chemicals (like cleaning agents), as these can compromise the seals.
- Storage: When not wearing your watch, store it in a clean, dry place, away from extreme temperatures and strong magnetic fields.
- Battery Replacement: The watch uses a standard watch battery. When the watch stops, it indicates the battery needs replacement. This should ideally be performed by a professional watch repair service to maintain water resistance and ensure proper sealing.
- Avoid Impacts: Though durable, try to avoid hard impacts or drops, as these can damage the internal movement or scratch the casing.
