Setup, Compatibility & Care
Sowing: Sow seeds directly into the soil, 1cm deep, from March to July. Aim for a well-drained location. If multiple seeds sprout closely together, thin them to stand 5-8cm apart to allow roots to develop fully. Sowing thinly is recommended to minimize thinning.
Compatibility: These seeds are suitable for growing in traditional garden beds, as well as in containers, trugs, and raised beds.
Care: Water regularly, especially during dry periods, to ensure consistent growth and prevent roots from becoming woody. The scent released by carrots can attract carrot flies, so consider companion planting or protective measures if this is a concern in your area.
