Setup, Compatibility & Care
When you receive your 9cm pot, acclimatize the plant to your local garden conditions gradually. For optimal growth, prepare your planting hole with organic matter or compost to boost soil fertility. Ensure the site is well-drained, as soggy roots are the primary cause of decline. During the growing season, remove faded flower spikes to encourage a secondary flush of blooms. In the winter months, although this variety is hardy, adding a layer of organic mulch around the base of the clump provides extra protection for the root system. Ensure the plant receives consistent moisture throughout the growing season, especially during hot spells in July and August.
