Setup: Getting Started
- Lacing: Ensure boots are laced securely but comfortably. Experiment with different lacing patterns if you experience pressure points. A snug fit prevents your foot from sliding, which can cause blisters and reduce control.
- Initial Wear: We recommend wearing your boots for short periods during training sessions initially. This 'breaks them in' and allows the materials to adapt to your foot shape, maximizing comfort and performance during match play.
Compatibility: Ground Types
These boots are explicitly designed for FG/AG surfaces, meaning they are suitable for:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are firm and not waterlogged.
- Artificial Ground (AG): Modern artificial turf pitches (3G and 4G).
Do not use these boots on indoor courts, hard concrete, or abrasive surfaces, as this can damage the soleplate and studs.
Care: Maintenance for Longevity
Proper care is essential to extend the life and performance of your PUMA Future 8 Match boots.
- Cleaning After Each Use: After every game or training session, wipe off mud and dirt using a damp cloth or soft brush. Avoid harsh detergents or scrubbing brushes that could damage the upper material.
- Drying: Always allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight, radiators, or other heat sources, as this can cause the materials to crack, shrink, or harden.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider stuffing them with newspaper to absorb moisture and help them retain their shape.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Never put your football boots in a washing machine or tumble dryer.
