The primary safety benefit is its exceptional impact protection, evidenced by a perfect 5-star rating from Virginia Tech's independent helmet testing. It also features Mips® Air Node technology to reduce rotational forces.
This specific listing is for a size Small (S), suitable for head circumferences between 50-56 cm.
Clean your helmet with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. Allow it to air dry completely.
Mips® Air Node is a low-friction layer integrated into the helmet's padding. It is designed to reduce rotational forces transferred to the brain during angled impacts.
The POC Cytal is primarily designed for road cycling and triathlon, offering excellent safety, ventilation, and aerodynamics. While suitable for general cycling, its advanced features are geared towards performance-oriented riding.
The Integrated Wing serves two main purposes: improving the helmet's aerodynamic performance by smoothing airflow and enhancing the helmet's overall structural stability.
It is recommended to replace your helmet after any significant impact, regardless of visible damage. Over time, UV exposure and general wear can also degrade materials, so replacement every 3-5 years is often advised, even without impact.
Adjust the 360° fit system dial at the back of the helmet. Turn clockwise to tighten and counter-clockwise to loosen. Ensure the strap dividers are also correctly positioned under your ears for a balanced fit.
Readjust the strap dividers. They should sit flat and comfortably below your ears. Ensure the chin strap is snug but not constricting.
While the Cytal has large airflow channels, effectiveness can vary with speed and external temperature. Ensure the internal padding is correctly seated and not blocking airflow. For very low-speed situations, active cooling may be limited.
Experiment with different angles and positions to secure your sunglasses. The eye garage is designed for specific sunglass temple shapes and sizes; larger or unusually shaped frames may not fit securely.
Setup: The POC Cytal helmet features an adjustable 360° fit system. To set it up, place the helmet on your head and turn the dial at the back until it feels snug but not uncomfortably tight. Ensure there is no excessive movement when shaking your head. The adjustable strap dividers located under the ears can be moved to ensure a comfortable and secure position.
Compatibility: This helmet is designed for adults and is unisex. It is compatible with most standard cycling eyewear. The head circumference for the Small size is 50-56 cm.
Care: Clean the helmet using a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents, as they can damage the helmet's materials. Ensure the helmet is completely dry before storing it. Store the helmet in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is recommended to replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no damage is visible.
