Setup, Compatibility & Care
Because these are handcrafted leather shoes, they benefit from an initial treatment with a high-quality leather conditioner.
- Storage: Always use cedar shoe trees when not in use to maintain the shape and absorb moisture.
- Cleaning: Gently brush the leather with a soft horsehair brush to remove surface dust. Use a damp cloth for the rubber sole.
- Ponyhair Maintenance: Avoid excessive rubbing of the ponyhair patches. If they become dusty, gently brush in the direction of the hair growth.
- Compatibility: These shoes fit best with thin-to-medium weight cotton or wool dress socks.
