Setup, Compatibility & Care
To keep your Clarks Boxbee Desert Boots in peak condition:
- Initial Protection: Before wearing them outside for the first time, apply a suede-specific water and stain repellent spray. This creates a barrier against dirt and moisture.
- Cleaning: Use a specialized suede brush to remove dry dirt and debris. Avoid using soap and water, which can ruin the finish of the suede.
- Storage: Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If the boots get wet, stuff them with newspaper to help them maintain their shape while they air dry naturally. Avoid heat sources like radiators, as they can cause the suede to crack or stiffen.
- Compatibility: These boots feature a standard UK sizing scale. Because of the rounded toe, they are generally compatible with most standard sock thicknesses, though those with wider feet may find the rounded last more accommodating than traditional, sharper-toed models.
