Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup & Customization
Upon receiving your Oakley Bat Flip OX8183 frames, follow these steps to optimize your fit:
- Initial Fit Adjustment: Gently try on the frames. Assess where the *TruBridge Sport Unobtainium® nosepads* rest on your nose and how the *Ace-Fit adjustable O Matter™ temples* sit behind your ears.
- Nosepad Adjustment: The nosepads are designed to be adjusted. You can carefully press them closer together for a narrower bridge fit or spread them slightly wider for more space. Aim for a secure fit that doesn't pinch or slide.
- Temple Adjustment: The *Ace-Fit adjustable O Matter™ temples* can be gently bent to conform better to the curve of your head behind your ears. This helps to distribute pressure evenly and enhance security. Small, incremental adjustments are best. If you're unsure or prefer professional assistance, visit a certified optician.
Compatibility
- Lenses: These frames are specifically designed for *Oakley Authentic Prescription lenses*, ensuring the highest level of optical performance and brand integrity. They can also be fitted with standard prescription lenses by a qualified optician.
- User: Intended for adult males. Refer to the product specifications for exact dimensions if you have specific fit concerns.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your Oakley Bat Flip OX8183 frames:
- Cleaning: Use a clean microfiber cloth, ideally one designed for eyewear, to gently wipe the frames and lenses. For deeper cleaning, rinse the frames under lukewarm water and use a mild, non-abrasive soap. Avoid household cleaners, paper towels, or clothing, which can scratch the lenses or damage coatings.
- Storage: Always store your frames in the protective case provided when not in use. This prevents scratches and protects them from dust and physical damage. Avoid leaving them in extreme temperatures, such as a hot car dashboard, as prolonged heat exposure can potentially warp the *O Matter™* frame material.
- Handling: Always handle your glasses by the frame, especially when putting them on or taking them off, to avoid putting undue stress on the hinges and maintaining proper alignment.
