Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the kettle and its power base from the packaging.
- Clean: Before first use, wipe the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth. Fill the kettle to the maximum level with cold water, boil it, and then discard the water. Repeat this process two to three times to remove any manufacturing residues.
- Placement: Position the power base on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface near a power outlet. Ensure the integrated cord storage is neatly utilized to avoid clutter.
Compatibility
This Swan Serenity Kettle is designed to seamlessly integrate into any modern kitchen. Its white contemporary matt finish complements a wide range of kitchen decors, making it a versatile appliance. It is compatible with standard household power outlets.
Care and Maintenance
- Exterior Cleaning: Regularly wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth to remove fingerprints and splashes. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the matt finish.
- Interior Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up, especially in hard water areas, affecting performance. Descale your kettle every 1-3 months using a commercial descaling solution or a natural alternative like white vinegar and water (consult your user manual for specific instructions). Always rinse thoroughly after descaling.
- Storage: When not in use, ensure the kettle is unplugged and the cord is neatly stored in the base.
