Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Place the kettle on a stable, flat surface near a power outlet.
- Remove the kettle from its base.
- Open the lid and fill with fresh water to the desired level, ensuring it is between the minimum and maximum fill lines.
- Close the lid securely.
- Place the kettle back onto its power base.
- Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
Compatibility:
This kettle is designed for standard household electrical outlets. It operates on typical home voltage and frequency.
Care:
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surface.
- Interior: Periodically descale the inside of the kettle to remove mineral build-up. Fill the kettle with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water, bring to a boil, let it sit for 15-20 minutes, then empty and rinse thoroughly. Alternatively, use a commercial descaling solution according to its instructions.
- Filter: Remove the filter (located usually behind the spout) and rinse it under running water. Wash gently with mild soap if necessary, and ensure it is fully dry before reinserting.
