Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Using your Birkenstock Shearling Suede Clogs is simple: just slip them on. For optimal comfort and to allow the anatomically shaped cork-latex footbed to properly mold to your feet, we recommend wearing them for short periods initially and gradually increasing wear time. This break-in process ensures the footbed conforms perfectly to your unique foot shape.
Compatibility
These clogs feature a unisex design and are compatible with various foot types. They are ideal for individuals seeking comfort and warmth in dry conditions. Their versatility makes them suitable for both indoor lounging and casual outdoor wear.
Care
Proper care is essential to maintain the quality and longevity of your suede and shearling clogs. Follow these guidelines:
- Suede Cleaning: Gently brush the suede surface with a specialized suede brush to remove dirt and restore the nap. For tougher spots, use a suede cleaner specifically designed for natural leathers. Always follow the product's instructions.
- Shearling Care: The natural lambskin lining can be spot cleaned with a mild soap solution and a damp cloth. Avoid saturating the shearling. Allow it to air dry completely.
- Water Protection: Suede is sensitive to water. Apply a high-quality suede protector spray to create a barrier against moisture and stains. Reapply periodically, especially after cleaning.
- Drying: If your clogs get wet, allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight, as extreme temperatures can damage the materials. Stuff them with paper to help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store your clogs in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use to prevent fading and material degradation.
