Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup & First Use
- Breaking In: Wear the boots for short periods during light training sessions or casual kickabouts before competitive matches. The leather will gradually mold to your foot for a personalized and comfortable fit.
- Lacing: Adjust laces to achieve a snug, comfortable fit without being overly tight. Ensure good lockdown around the midfoot and heel.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed with a Firm-Ground (FG) soleplate. They are compatible with natural grass pitches that are firm to slightly soft. Avoid using them on artificial grass (AG), hard ground (HG), or indoor surfaces, as this can damage the soleplate, compromise performance, and potentially void any warranty.
Care & Maintenance
To maximize the lifespan and maintain the performance of your Nike Premier 3 FG boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and debris from the upper and soleplate using a soft brush or cloth. Wipe the leather upper with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, a mild soap solution can be used.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat from radiators, sunlight, or hair dryers, as this can cause the leather to dry out, crack, and stiffen.
- Leather Conditioning: Regularly apply a high-quality leather conditioner or cream to the upper. This keeps the leather supple, prevents cracking, and maintains its protective properties, especially after exposure to moisture.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place. Using boot trees or stuffing them with crumpled newspaper can help retain their shape and absorb excess moisture.
