Setup, Compatibility & Care
Because the Merida jacket is a ready-to-wear garment, there is no setup required. To maintain the effectiveness of the DWR finish, avoid using harsh fabric softeners during wash cycles, as they can coat the fibers and reduce water resistance. Always follow the garment care label inside the jacket; typically, you should wash on a gentle cycle at low temperatures. If you notice water stops beading on the surface, you can rejuvenate the repellent finish by applying a technical DWR wash-in treatment designed for outdoor apparel. Store the jacket on a sturdy hanger in a dry, ventilated space to preserve the loft of the insulation.
