Masterplug Heavy Duty Plug - 13 Amp

This plug is rated for a maximum of 13 Amps, which is suitable for most standard household appliances.

While the plug itself is rewirable, it's good practice to ensure the appliance or the circuit it's connected to has appropriate fuse protection. Some rewirable plugs are designed to accept a fuse, though this specific model description does not explicitly mention an integrated fuse holder.

Yes, provided the appliance cord has an earth wire and the overall power requirement of the appliance does not exceed 13 Amps.

Typically, the coloured wires are: Live (Brown) connects to 'L', Neutral (Blue) connects to 'N', and Earth (Green/Yellow) connects to 'E'.

The dimensions are approximately 57.5 x 48 mm.

This plug is designed for general home appliance use. For outdoor use, always use specifically rated outdoor electrical accessories to ensure safety.

Double-check that all three wires (Live, Neutral, Earth) are correctly connected to their corresponding terminals and that the screws are tightened securely. Ensure the fuse (if applicable and separate) is intact.

Inspect the plug pins for any bending. Ensure the internal wiring is secure, as loose wires can sometimes affect the plug's stability. If the plug casing is damaged, it may need replacement.

This could indicate a faulty appliance or an overloaded circuit. Ensure the appliance's power draw does not exceed the plug's 13A rating. If the plug itself is excessively hot, disconnect immediately and inspect the wiring or consider replacing the plug.
