Setup & Surface Preparation
- Ensure Surfaces are Clean: All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dirt, grease, and loose or flaking material. Thorough cleaning will ensure optimal adhesion.
- Sanding: Lightly sand previously painted gloss surfaces to create a 'key' for the new paint. For bare wood or metal, sand to achieve a smooth finish.
- Priming: As part of the advanced 2-part water-based system, it is highly recommended to use a suitable Dulux Trade water-based primer or undercoat on bare wood or metal surfaces before applying the gloss. This enhances adhesion, durability, and ensures a consistent finish.
- Mixing: Stir the paint thoroughly before use to ensure an even consistency and colour.
