FAQs

Are these shorts suitable for swimming?

While made from polyester, they are designed as athletic training shorts and lack the specific lining or salt/chlorine resistance of dedicated swimwear.

Does the fabric stretch?

The material is designed for a regular fit and features a lightweight polyester construction which provides a natural, non-restrictive feel.

What is dryCELL?

dryCELL is PUMA's designated technology for moisture-wicking properties that help draw sweat away from the body to the surface of the fabric for faster evaporation.

Can I tumble dry these shorts?

It is recommended to air dry to maintain the material quality, though if you must use a dryer, use a low-heat setting.

Do these shorts have pockets?

The teamLIGA design focuses on performance and minimalism; they do not include pockets, keeping the weight low for athletics.

Troubleshooting

Drawcord gets pulled inside the waistband

Use a safety pin attached to the end of the drawcord to feed it back through the eyelet channel.

Fabric appears to snag or pull

Avoid washing with rough fabrics like denim or garments with metal zippers; use a mesh laundry bag to protect the mesh inserts.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent moisture-wicking properties
Lightweight and breathable construction
Customizable fit via drawcord
Environmentally friendly 100% recycled material

Cons

Limited to a regular fit style

White colorway may require extra care during cleaning

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Puma teamLIGA Shorts, follow these care guidelines:

Washing: Machine wash in cold water with similar colors. Avoid using bleach, which can damage the moisture-wicking properties of the polyester.
Drying: Air dry whenever possible to preserve the shape of the elasticated waistband and the integrity of the mesh panels.
Ironing: Use a cool iron if necessary, but avoid direct contact with the PUMA Cat logo and mesh inserts.
Fit: These are standard-sized apparel; ensure you verify your waist measurements against the manufacturer's size chart to ensure the regular fit meets your preference.
