Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Check Compatibility: Ensure your motherboard or laptop has an M.2 slot that supports NVMe SSDs (PCIe Gen3x4 is recommended).
- Power Down: Completely shut down your computer and disconnect the power cable.
- Install the SSD: Carefully insert the M.2 SSD into the designated slot at a slight angle, then gently push it down and secure it with the provided screw.
- Power Up: Reconnect the power cable and turn on your computer.
- Initialize and Format: Your operating system should detect the new drive. You may need to initialize and format it through Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS) before it can be used.
Compatibility:
The Klevv CRAS C715 is compatible with most modern PCs and laptops featuring an M.2 2280 slot with NVMe support. It is designed to work seamlessly with Windows, macOS, and other supported operating systems.
Care:
- Avoid Physical Shock: While SSDs are more robust than HDDs, significant physical impact should still be avoided.
- Maintain Cool Temperatures: Ensure your system has adequate airflow to prevent overheating, which can affect performance and longevity. The drive incorporates an advanced thermal throttling algorithm to manage heat.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Klevv website for any firmware updates that may improve performance or stability.
- Regular Backups: While the SSD is reliable, always maintain regular backups of your important data using the provided Acronis True Image activation key or other preferred backup solutions.
