Full details
The On Running Cloudplay trainers are specifically engineered for active kids who need reliable, everyday comfort and stability. Featuring an adaptive CloudTec cushioning system, these shoes provide responsive support for lighter weights, making them ideal for running, jumping, and all-day play. While they offer excellent durability and a convenient no-tie lacing system, parents should note that the polyester upper is designed primarily for breathability and may require regular cleaning to maintain their appearance during outdoor adventures.

FAQs
Are these shoes machine washable?
We recommend hand cleaning with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Machine washing can damage the adhesive and cushioning structure.
How does the no-tie lacing work?
The system is designed to provide a secure, slip-on fit that mimics traditional laces without the need for manual tying.
Are they suitable for wider feet?
The Cloudplay has a standard fit; however, the flexible upper material provides some natural give for various foot shapes.
Can the insoles be replaced with orthotics?
Yes, the provided insoles are removable, allowing for the insertion of custom orthotics if required.
What is the best way to dry them if they get wet?
Remove the insoles and air dry them in a shaded, well-ventilated spot. Never place them directly on or inside a heater.
Troubleshooting
Laces feel too loose during activity
Ensure the no-tie lace tension is distributed evenly across the eyelets; if the laces remain loose, check that the lace lock is fully engaged.
Outsole collecting debris
Use a soft brush or a blunt tool to carefully remove rocks or dirt trapped within the CloudTec outsole grooves to maintain traction.
Unpleasant odor from extended use
Remove the insoles to air out and use an odor-neutralizing spray. Always store shoes in a well-ventilated area.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Convenient no-tie lacing system for quick changes
- Adaptive cushioning tailored for lighter body weights
- Durable outsole with extra rubber protection
- Breathable material keeps feet comfortable for all-day wear
- Enhanced stability for running and active play
Cons
- Not intended for heavy-duty sports performance
- Polyester upper may stain easily in muddy conditions
- No-tie system is not adjustable for custom tightness
Setup, Compatibility & Care
The Cloudplay trainers are ready to wear right out of the box. Because they utilize a no-tie lacing system, there is no need to adjust knots, though it is recommended to ensure the tongue is centered for a comfortable fit. For maintenance, keep the shoes in peak condition by wiping the polyester upper with a damp cloth and mild soap to remove surface dirt. Avoid machine washing or drying, as high heat can compromise the integrity of the CloudTec elements and the adhesive used in the outsole. Allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources or radiators to prevent the materials from warping.
