Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting the most out of your Cloudtilt Trainers involves proper initial setup, understanding compatibility, and regular care.
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure your trainers are laced securely but not overly tight. Use the lacing system to customize the fit around your midfoot. Experiment with different lacing techniques if you experience pressure points.
- First Wear: Wear your new trainers for shorter distances initially to allow your feet to adapt to the shoe's specific fit and cushioning. This 'break-in' period helps the materials conform to your foot shape.
Compatibility
- Socks: Pair your Cloudtilt trainers with high-quality running socks designed to wick moisture and prevent blisters. The right sock can significantly enhance comfort and fit.
- Running Style: These trainers are optimized for a natural, flowing running style, benefiting from the seamless transitions offered by CloudTec Phase technology. They are suitable for various foot strikes.
Care
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your trainers:
- Cleaning the Upper: For the polyester upper, gently clean with a soft brush or cloth, mild soap, and lukewarm water. Avoid harsh detergents or machine washing, which can damage materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Allow your trainers to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources (like radiators or direct sunlight), as these can cause materials to shrink or degrade.
- Storage: Store your trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid compressing them under heavy objects to maintain their shape and cushioning integrity.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, remove insoles and air them out. You can also use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside the shoes overnight (remove before wearing).
