FAQs

What is the maximum weight capacity for this bed?

The Vida Designs Corona Double Bed has a maximum weight capacity of 200kg.

Does this bed come with a mattress?

No, this is a bed frame only. You will need to purchase a standard double mattress separately.

How do I clean the distressed waxed finish?

Use a soft, dry cloth to dust the wood. Avoid liquid polishes or abrasive cleaners which can damage the wax coating.

Is the assembly difficult?

The bed requires self-assembly. While the instructions are easy to follow, we recommend having two people assist to ensure safety during the process.

Will the wood grain look exactly like the photos?

Due to the nature of solid wood and the distressed finish, the grain patterns and colour intensity may vary slightly from the product images.

Troubleshooting

The bed frame feels unstable or wobbles.

Check all bolts and metal fasteners to ensure they are fully tightened. Ensure the bed is placed on a flat, level floor.

Squeaking sounds during movement.

Ensure the wooden slats are seated correctly in their housing and that all frame joints are secured tightly.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: This bed requires self-assembly. It is recommended to have two people present to assemble the frame, as the solid wood components are heavy. Use the provided instructions to ensure all metal studs and bolts are tightened correctly. Ensure you are working on a carpet or rug to prevent scratching the wood during assembly.

Compatibility: This frame is designed for a standard UK double mattress. Always check your mattress dimensions against the bed frame dimensions (H110 x W149 x D207 cm) before purchase.

Care: Maintain the finish by wiping the wood with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or polishes that could strip the wax finish. If the bed squeaks over time, check that all hardware connections remain tight and lubricate any metal-on-metal points if necessary.
